Amani Africa is establishing a community in the town of Nyamata, Rwanda, creating an environment that will allow us to fulfill our underlying mission: to promote sustainable peace in a post-conflict society by training and educating vulnerable youth.
Amani Africa has recognized that a holistic approach to reconciliation is vital. Amani Village will combine human rights, education, and economic empowerment to provide opportunities to vulnerable youth. All three of these components are absolutely essential if we wish to create sustainable peace in a region devastated by decades of violence and civil war.
Amani Village will consist of: vocational training school, library and resource center for human rights and peace-building, a computer laboratory, “green” guesthouse and restaurant, playgrounds and sport fields for all of our sports teams, home for street children, health clinic, primary school, secondary school
