AfH/DC, two Urban Design 302 studios from CUA and the Ward 7 Development Awareness Committee (DAV) have worked together in a three-week long charrette involving pedestrian intersections along Minnesota Avenue. The partnership looked to promote stronger community involvement with the development of the urban infrastructure. The charette was aimed to incite design solutions of pedestrian scale to problematic intersections along the Minnesota corridor; a collaboration fusing together citizen-based incentives with formal community development. The students worked to creating boards which graphically represented ideas and response to the issues discovered of this area.
