Welcome to DC Chapter of Architecture for Humanity. We are a DC metropolitan based group of designers promoting design solutions to global, social and humanitarian crisis.

We provide a range of services to community groups, NGO's and others seeking architecture and design services. In addition we provide a framework for designers to exchange ideas.

involvement

We offer volunteer opportunities for designers. Opportunities are currently short-term volunteer stints but over time, long-term volunteerism are likely to be offered.

Our current/past projects range from local care centers, small playgrounds to large primary schools overseas. Participating in projects is a great way of becoming involved.

The Solar Decathlon is a competition in which 20 teams of college and university students compete to design, build, and operate the most attractive, effective, and energy-efficient solar-powered house. The Solar Decathlon is also an event to which the public is invited to observe the powerful combination of solar energy, energy efficiency, and the best in home design.
